A word on returns
A saree is a long relationship. This is how the house handles those early days — and the years that follow.
Ready-to-ship
Ready-to-ship sarees carry a seven-day inspection window, counted from the day the parcel is delivered. We do not accept general returns or change-of-mind returns. A return or replacement is accepted only if the saree arrives with damage (a tear, stain or border damage), the wrong piece has been sent, or an item is missing. Request it within seven days of delivery, and send us a continuous, uncut video of the parcel being opened for the first time with the issue clearly visible. Without this video, we cannot accept the request.
Pre-books & bespoke
Pre-booked, made-to-order, and bespoke sarees are woven against your reservation and are not returnable. Where we can, we send additional photographs and drape notes before the saree ships, so that the piece meets you as you imagined it.
Condition
Returned sarees must be unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and returned in the original Skandhika box with the enclosed drape note and mulmul cloth. The return must be supported by the first-opening video described above. Sarees showing signs of wear, perfume, cosmetic residue, missing tags, or missing the unboxing video will regretfully be sent back.
The refund
Where a request is approved, we send a replacement where one is available, or refund the full amount to the original prepaid method. We initiate the refund within two working days of inspecting the saree; banks and card issuers typically credit it within five to seven working days.
The tending
Beyond the return window, the house continues to tend the saree — drape guidance by email, dry-clean referrals, re-veiling of a border, small restorations. Write to the concierge with photographs, and we will tell you honestly what the saree needs and whether Skandhika can help.
To begin a return
Write to the concierge with your order number and the first-opening video. We will review it and, if approved, arrange the pickup and confirm the refund as soon as the saree is received and inspected.
